How does it work?

Step 1: Employee Ask A Question

The exact process an employee might use to type a message in Google Chat and attach it with the HR Assistant bot.

Step 2: Trigger Via Google Chat With n8n

A message with a tag and then n8n will check for messages that are from this tag would automatically pick up on question text in your processing.

Step 3: AI Agents Processes The Query

Using uploaded HR policy PDFs the OpenAI Assistants API takes the question, analyses it and will only reply with a response that is found in the company’s required reading.

Step 4: Response Cleanup

Then n8n uses a custom code block to strip extraneous formatting, annotations, or AI disclaimers so that the response is clean and presentable.

Step 5: Instant Response in Chat

The polished response is then posted in the very same Google Chat thread. The employee receives an immediate, specific policy compliant answer with no additional emails or waiting needed.
